2008 Project: Helmet X Honoree:

Steve Grogan

Quarterback - New England Patriots (1975-1990)

New England Patriots Hall of Fame

For 16 amazing seasons Steve Grogan was the on field general of the New England Patriots.  From his post behind center, Steve commanded  New England to 2 AFC East titles and an AFC Championship.

Known by many fans as being a true man of steel, with ice in his veins Grogan not only tore apart defenses through the air, but on the ground as well rushing for over 2,000 yards and 35 touchdowns during his career.  Holding the record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season to this day, and tied for most in a career.

Not only was Steve Grogan one of the toughest quarterbacks to ever take the field, but he was also one of the best.

This year Sinematix TV with the help of Operation Homefront honor Steve Grogan for accomplishments on and off field with the sport of professional football and his work in the community.  For being a shining example of a true Patriot, this year we are proud to give this high honor to Steve Grogan, having helmet X crafted in the likeness of the helmet he wore during his career.  We would like to congratulate and thank Mr. Grogan for this honor and taking part in Project Helmet X.
